Welcome to the First Coast Black Nurses Association website and thank you for your support. Our mission is to improve the quality of health care for African Americans and other minority groups in Jacksonville, Florida and surrounding counties. Our goal is the promotion of healthy living through community education and awareness. The FCBNA is a vehicle of unification for nurses of color, varied age groups, educational levels and geographic locations within Duval, Clay, St John, Nassau and Baker counties to ensure the continuity and flow of our common heritage. We are helping aspiring student nurses reach their goals of obtaining their professional nursing degrees through the Dorothy Gaines Banks Scholarship fund administered by the First Coast Black Nurses Association.
